“One of the best acts we have seen at the Brome Fair” was just one of the comments received for James Johnson’s balloon act. James put on a riveting show keeping the crowd on the edge of there seats in front of the large grand stand as well as in a more intimate setting within our entertainment center. His contagious dialogue both in and out of a gigantic 6 foot latex balloon led the crowd of all ages through a wildly funny striptease which included the aid of an elderly lady, to having multiple persons inside of the balloon with him before an explosive finally. I would recommend the James Johnson Balloon act for any event.

The Central Canada Exhibition Association operates one of the largest annual events in the Ottawa area. Our 11-day event provides about 60 free shows a day everyday to our thousands of visitors on nine various venues.

James Johnson performed as both a strolling act and a stage act and what a find he was! His deft handling of audiences during his World Record Balloon Show on our most popular stage was a sight to behold. To do the kind of show he does where the work of audience volunteers is key and to keep everyone interested until the finale exemplifies a multi-tasker.

He also performed this same act on a smaller stage where young children and parents were the main audience. He has no trouble playing to any age group.

Over and above his stellar stage performances James also performed strolling stilt walking where he was a true crowd pleaser.

James showed his true professional when we encountered 6 days of inclement weather yet in almost all cases his shows happened at least in part.

You will certainly get more than you pay for with James as part of your entertainment package.

One of our featured complimentary entertainers was James Johnson – The Bigger Balloon Guy. I became interested in James’ act after visiting his website which has a video clip of his upbeat, comical and unconventional balloon act.

The visual impact of James’s photos in our promotional material was a great draw. The intrigue of seeing people inside a balloon is what brought our audience to the entertainment stage, but it was his captivating stage performance which kept them there for the whole show.

James was a favorite of our local press which afforded us extra coverage with great pictures during the week of the Ex. This coverage and positive word of mouth caused the crowd to grow for each of our twice daily shows. By the end of the week our entertainment area was at full capacity for his act.

We were very happy with our decision to feature James during our exhibition. He needed very little set up time, looked after all arrangements with the sound technicians, had excellent audience involvement and was flexible as to times and locations for his act. Most importantly he was a crowd favorite!
